Tote Bag Tutorial/Free PDF Pattern

I have just put up a tote bag tutorial/PDF free pattern on my Sew Prim Khris blog to download.

This tote bag is done slightly different to the standard tote where you make the outer bag and then the lining and pop one inside the other. You actually sew one lining to one outer fabric and then sew them all together after putting on pockets and handles.

Trim it Tote

All People Quilt have a nice pattern for a tote called Trim it Tote. A clever way to make a plainer piece of fabric into a more interesting tote.

Fabric Baskets, coasters, placemats and more...

Favorite Fabric have a heap of freebie patterns for you all to grab. I have made these fabric baskets before from a tutorial and love making them. They are great for paper napkins or coasters and can be made in any size just by adjusting the size of the square of fabric used. They have a lot of free patterns on their website to browse through....quilts, totes, aprons and so much more.

Bias Tape Tote

Belle Epoque have a tutorial for a Bias Tape Tote that looks easy enough to make up. I probably would make my own bias binding though and make it a bit thicker.

Hexagon patterns

Kiwi Quilts has some great ideas using hexagons. I really like the hexagon star ornament, but take a look and see the other great freebies she has.

Studio efabrics had got a great range of free patterns....a couple of nice hand bags that I really like, quilts, pincushions and other goodies to try your hand at.

All People Quilt have also got a great pattern for a Large Patchwork Bag. Love the fabrics they have used on this bag.

Sweet Sixteen can be found over at Popular Patchwork....it is made from charm squares..you can alter the size of the charm squares to make the bag smaller or larger.

Diaper Bag or in Aussie talk Nappy Bag

CoCoJ Designs has a terrific diaper bag tutorial girls. What a lovely diaper bag this is with a ruffle at the top...makes it look much better than just for diapers...lol... or as us Aussiesjavascript:void(0) call them "nappies".
