Scrappy Hedgerow Blocks

Oh Fransson has a tutorial to make what she has called "Scrappy Hedgerow Blocks". She always makes such lovely quilts. So fresh and bright looking. Just love them.

Christmas Block of the Month

Angies Bits and Pieces is holding a Christmas BOM called Christmas Hodge Podge. Brought to you in 5 monthly installments (July-November), a separate file is offered with the yardage requirements for the borders, layout guides with the measurements for the background blocks, and an assembly diagram. This file will remain online (free) through November.

The Christmas Hodge Podge designs will be posted the first week of each month. Only the current month's blocks will be offered for free. Blocks from previous months will continue to be available for registered members, should you care to subscribe. It looks like we have missed July and you have to register for the free one which actually will cost you....wahhhhhh

Owl Potholder - knitted


Fibre Gypsy has a cute knitted owl potholder to grab.
Kelbourne Woolens has knitted mittens with owls on them to grab. I can't help myself and collect these patterns in the hope that one day when I have the patience to sit and do them I could learn...LOL

Be quick - Vintage patterns

Be quick and jump across to Commercial Pattern Archive. They have thousands of vintage patterns to grab but only for a week. You have to sign in but it gives you the very easy instructions to sign in. Then go up to the top "Search" button and find heaps of patterns you can download.

Missy Balance has this simple but cute doll pattern and I love the name....Silly Girl....its primitive and could be primmed up a lot or just kept cute...but so simple...a good first time doll pattern. There are a few other cute freebies on Missy Balance's blog too.

I just found a really nifty looking handbag using charm squares. It is in another language but she has translation of English as well. I love this little bag....another project to do for sure.

Checkout Girl has a cute, sweet fabric sachet filled with lavender to whip up. How sweet things will smell with these around.

Owl softies


Lion Brand Yarn have a few different owl softies to crotchet or knit. Ohhh how I wish I had the patience to knit or crochet these cuties. You do have to sign up to grab the free pattern but it took me a couple of seconds.
