Scrappy Armrest Tutoral

Pear Pincushion

UK lass in US has a pear pincushion pattern to share. I love these and really will make some up. I have a pattern here already to use as I made my own up a few years ago when I made a doll called Pippa and her Pear. But this is a nice shaped pear to whip up. She also has an apple too. There is also a crayon roll to store the kids crayons in. She has instructions for 16 larger crayons or 24 regulars size crayons.

Angies Bits and Pieces is holding a Christmas BOM called Christmas Hodge Podge. This file will remain online (free) through November.

The Christmas Hodge Podge designs will be posted the first week of each month. Only the current month's blocks will be offered for free. My friend Naomi and I have been making drawstring bags recently but didn't use a tutorial or pattern as such. I have just now come across this tutorial over at Calamity Kim's which makes it nice and easy to make a drawstring bag. We did ours slightly smaller than these measurements but this would be a good size too.

Bird applique spectacles/glasses holder

This spectacles case was brought to my attention...thanks Marion.....these cute birds could be owls couldn't they...hoot hoot....now Wee Folk Art have suggested that if we want these birdies to look more owlish just to add the little characteristic ear tuffs...and tah dahh...owls...now this cute cupcake would be great appliqued or stitched on tea-towels or bibs.
