9 Birdie Baby Quilt & Hugs & Kisses Quilt

Piece N Quilt have a cute baby quilt that she has made using charm squares. This is basically an altered nine patch variation which would make up nice and quick and looks so cute with these lovely soft colours. Natalia has a few different tutorials on her blog as well as a lovely Hugs & Kisses quilt over at the Moda Bakeshop.

Wine bottle and glass paper pieced block

A friend on my CRAFT group was asking after a pattern with a wine bottle and I just found this cool paper pieced block over at Patch Pieces with a wine bottle and wine glass on it. They have a few good blocks over there to look at.

Simple Rails Quilt

Go grab the pattern and make up a few....they have made it to use 3 different yards of fabric for the top which makes things nice and simple....right up my alley.

Connecting Quilt As You Go Blocks

I must admit to be slack when it comes to the quilting stage. I get the top done and then I stop. I don't have a big long arm machine and find it so hard to quilt on my domestic machine. I know people do it....but I only seem to be able to stitch in the ditch. Anyway...I just came across this tutorial explaining how to join your quilted blocks together which made it seem so easy. Well the season for cooking is with us and I just came across the Michael Miller Making it Fun blog with a pattern for the classic apron....nice and simple too. Take a look though as there are a heap of patterns on the sidebar over there.
