Julie has a heap of great tutorials. I like this hexagon shaped place-mat  that she has named a cookie plate crumb catcher.

    Hi Kris,
    Thanks so much for these Xmas themed projects! I know time is running out for most people as far as making things for Xmas, but these are so simple and quick, I'm determined to get some of them done in the next week or so! I haven't had much time lately to do any sewing and I really miss it, so these have inspired me to get a wriggle on :-)
