Toothbrush Rug Tutorial

Rag Rug Cafe shows how to make a rug using an old toothbrush as the "hook or needle". These rugs are a great way to use up old clothing or sheets that you would usually get rid of.

You can also find another tutorial on Youtube showing her method to make the toothbrush rug.

The finished rag rug is a pretty accent for high-traffic areas in your home.

Rag rugs are simple to make, very sturdy, and the scrappy mix of colors makes them beautiful. If you don't have many fabric scraps on hand, look in your local thrift store for some old sheets, which yield lots of rug material. This design, which measures 19 inches by 29 inches, is crocheted with several fabrics to create vertical stripes....simple tutorial over at eHow.

Haul It Floor Mat

Sew 4 Home is sharing a tutorial for a Haul It Floor Mat/Cushion. This would have to be a fun floor mat/cushion for any kid to get their cars out and play on. The shape of a car and caravan/trailer...how cool....and it looks nice and easy to make. I sooo love "easy". They join together with velcro to make it look like the car is towing the caravan/trailer (Aussie to American translation) :-)
